Paula Hanke's interpretation of cover music has been a force to be reckoned with for three decades. She has performed in bands and in major production shows from Atlantic City and Las Vegas to TV's Star Search, from Tokyo, Japan and the high seas, to Germany, Saudi Arabia and Bermuda. Paula keeps her performance skills at the top of her game singing in multiple ensembles including- NPR’s theme song writer BJ Leiderman’s band, the Current Invention party band, and the Paula & Tony duo. Daniel Barber- began playing the piano at four and the guitar at eleven. With a deep love of jazz, show tunes and other popular music, he delights in rocking a dance floor with classic rock, R&B and Motown tunes. He has lead the Jubilee! Community World Beat Band since 2001 and started Current Invention in 2003, both of which raise the bar with soul-shaking and uplifting music. He sings and plays keyboards, synths, guitar and hand drums and loves to help people of all ages have a good time. Spencer Bolejack - drummer and star of DIRECTV and Discovery Channel’s “Hillbilly Blood” is multi-talented indeed. As drummer, he has been impressing crowds from a young age, earning awards along the way and always striving for a deep groove that makes you want to move. His classical rudimentary technique was well developed by high school where he placed 1st chair in county, regional and state honors bands five years in a row and has been gathering more recognition ever since. In addition to his work with C. I., he works studio sessions is head instructor of Land of the Sky Wilderness School  and is developing an innovative martial arts and musical training program called “Drum Justsu” which combines Filipino arts, Jiu Jutsu, and drumming methods.


Jake Wolf - Originally from the Boston area, Jake came to Western North Carolina by way of San Francisco and the Pacific Northwest. He graduated from Evergreen State College in Olympia, WA with a degree in music and was a student at the Ali Akbar College of music in San Rafael, CA. He studied under renowned bassists' Kai Eckhardt and Michael Manring  in the San Francisco area, while working with Accugroove cabinets and ZON guitars. In addition to music, Jake works as a hospice home care bourse and is a staff writer/gear reviewer for Bass Musician Magazine.
James VandenBerg - Inspired by acoustic singer-songwriters such as Paul Simon and James Taylor, James picked up the guitar at age sixteen. After learning the basics,he quickly moved on to electric guitar. Drawing further inspiration from rock and jazz guitarists such as Pat Metheny, Larry Carlton and Jeff Beck, James developed fluency in a wide variety of styles. He started playing professionally in the earls eighties, and went on to play with a variety of rock, fusion, jazz, pop and bluegrass groups in southeast Michigan. He brought his versatile and tasteful chops (as well as his strong tenor voice) to Asheville in 1998, where he has plays with NPR's BJ Leiderman Band and with the Current Invention band rocking private events in this destination mecca!
